“I’ve always wanted to have a baby at home with the assistance of a midwife. So once I found out I was pregnant I started doing research on the Internet about midwifery. The more I read about it I felt comfortable in the fact that I was making the best decision for my baby and me. I found Margarett through the Internet and her web site. She provided so much detailed information about the births she delivered and the quality care that she gives her clients. I knew that I had found the perfect midwife to deliver my baby even before meeting her in person. My husband was a little apprehensive about having our first baby at home. But, once we met Margarett, his mind was put at ease. Being in her care made me feel not only like a client but someone that she truly did care about. I never felt rushed by her when I had appointments and the atmosphere was very warm. I knew that if I had any concerns or questions that she would be there for me whenever I needed her to be. My labor and delivery went very well considering being my first. I wanted to have a water birth, but my son was being a little stubborn. So instead I delivered him sitting in a birthing chair. It went very smoothly considering that I not only delivered his head first but along with his arm too. But it was well worth the struggle when Margarett put my 9 lb. 10 oz. baby boy in my arms.
